Macworld Expo will shift its dates to February in 2010 and open its show floor to attendees on Saturday, as part of the first steps to remake the long-time Mac trade show after Apple’s decision to end its involvement. The 2010 edition of Macworld Conference and Expo will kick off on February 9 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center and run through February 13.

That’s strange. Didn’t Apple pull out of Macworld because it didn’t want to be forced to conform with the early January schedule to launch its products? Yes. Doesn’t Apple always hold a special event to launch new products sometime in early february? Yes. So, doesn’t this trade show suit Apple’s timeline now? No matter what the media says, Apple’s absence from Macworld will definitely be a big hole. Shouldn’t Apple rejoin now that its reasons for not joining have just been sort of voided?
