RUMOR: Snow Leopard to Show Off New UI?

Apple, Mac

Despite Apple’s touting that OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will just be an internal makeover, rumor has it that the entire interface of leopard will be given an overhaul, i.e. application windows colors, etc. Leopard previously got rid of Tiger’s mix between “Aqua” windows and “Brushed Metal” windows in favor of the streamlined “Smooth Metal” we see now in Leopard. Apple perhaps may be planning to take this one step further and darken the overall hue of their windows, to give a “Dark Metal” theme. What will this look like? Not many people outside of the Cupertino headquarters know, as every developer build of Snow Leopard thus far comes with the same Leopard theme. Could the Snow Leopard interface look like this?

The frontmost Finder window sports a “Dark Metal” theme, with a much more intense gray-to-black gradient than Leopard’s theme. The background Safari 4 window is transparent, a possible feature of Snow Leopard that allows the foreground applications to stand out more. Also worth noting, is that maybe the dock will sport an overall “glassier” look with more intense reflections. Let me know what you think of this purported interface!
