Ubuntu 9.04, a.k.a. “Jaunty Jackalope” has just been released. This is the latest version of the open-sourced Ubuntu operating system, and boasts of faster boot times (reported to be 21.4 seconds), better power management, immediate system access after hibernation, a new system-wide notification service, and broader device support for intelligent switching between WiFi and 3G networks.
