Well not really yet, but Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs has been quoted for the very first time after months of complete silence. Apple today announced that it has sold over a million iPhone 3G S units over the weekend after it was released on the 19th June. This evidently perked Jobs up from a 6-month media coma:

“Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, in the press release. “With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”

The Wall Street Journal posted an article recently saying that Steve received a liver transplant two months ago in Tennessee, MN, and that he is now on the road to full recovery. This was reportedly related to the bout of rare pancreatic cancer he had several years ago.

We look forward to seeing Steve back at Apple at the end of this month, healthy, and ready to lead!

UPDATE: Rumor has it that Steve has been recently spotted on Apple HQ campus sporting his usual jeans and black turtleneck shirt, accompanied by an unidentified man. He was spotted getting into a car which was not his usual black Mercedes SL.
