After the conversion of all of Apple’s consumer notebooks to the MacBook Pro unibody line, Apple’s white plastic MacBooks have been nothing but pathetic-looking, albeit being offered as Apple’s lowest-price notebook.
Following rumors of updated and redesigned iMacs in “only a few weeks’ time”, there have been fresh new rumors that Apple is also planning to redesign its white MacBooks to feature an even thinner outer casing, the integrated 7-hour battery borrowed from the Unibody MacBook Pros, and perhaps drop the price even further below that $1000 barrier.
What about the iMacs? Well, that aluminum casing is also starting to look old, as this model has been out on the market for almost a year to two years now without any visible refreshes. And what about the much-hyped Apple netbook and/or tablet? It seems Microsoft will beat Apple to this market with the Courier, so Apple better speed up its prototyping of this product!
